This coin has been encapsulated as Genuine by PCGS. The PCGS number ending in .97 suggests Environmental Damage as the reason, or one of the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. The original mintages for the 1913-D Type 1 and 1913-D Type 2 are not all that dissimilar, but the latter issue is significantly scarcer in all grades. | ||||||||||||
